Countrywide have declared that during January rent across the country rose as demand bypassed supply.
One and two bed properties saw the largest increase in rent with some rent increases hitting 8.5%. Three-bedroom properties rose by 1.6% but if you wanted a four bed property you were in luck; this rent dropped by 3%.
In the North of England, however, we saw a fall in rent year-on-year as rent dropped by 1.2%. This was closely followed by Wales, where rent dropped by online casino 0.7% and the south-east (who continue to see a drop) by 0.5%.
The north has seen their arrears stay the same, whereas other regions have seen a decrease (except central London that saw a 0.6% increase).
Considering the massive demand for housing it’ll come as no surprise that the average rent for newly let properties saw an increase of 2.8% and many renewed tenancies have increased too.
